This is hilarious, because you and I are doing exactly what my article is pointing to: We are getting into a discussion about belief. I am talking about a culture which lacks any semblance of justice regarding sexual assault, which you have made reference to and which is designed to make us to go around in circles like this. You would favor thorough and just investigation, but then you point to how this does not happen. I agree. Hence the need for comprehensive changes in culture and laws. I am not saying that social media=justice. I am saying that an unjust culture has led to the need for outcries on social media, even if not all 100% of them are true. False accusations exist for every crime, but that argument has the upper hand in issues of sexual violence like no other crime. I’m not saying juries should be partial, but the victims’ friends, family and support systems should be and often they are not! Therein lies a serious problem.
