You keep talking about due process. But as you have pointed out, both victims and those wrongly accused have been short-changed by due process because of status/gender/race issues.
When #MeToo posts do name a perpetrator, it’s usually a public figure or someone well known to their community. This I believe is done in the confidence that there are other victims and hope that it will make it easier for them to come forward.
Given that due process lets the less privileged down, in so many ways, including laws regarding statute of limitations, there are times I think the “court of public opinion” is more valid than due process.
